What is Berkshire Culinary Group?

Berkshire Culinary Group is the parent company that owns and operates Shire Tavern. BCG also provides full-service catering for events throughout the Berkshires, serving a 45-minute radius in Massachusetts. They cater everything from simple foil pan pickups to high-end gala dinners.

Reservation Policies

To ensure the best dining experience for all our guests, please take a moment to review our standard reservation guidelines.

  • Punctuality: We hold tables for a grace period of 15 minutes past the scheduled reservation time. If your party has not arrived within this window, the table may be released to our waitlist.
  • Complete Parties: To maintain our service flow, we seat parties only once all guests have arrived.
  • Time Limits: To accommodate all diners, we may implement a table time limit during peak hours—typically 90 minutes for parties of two and 2 hours for parties of four or more.
  • Cancellations: We kindly request at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or significant changes to your guest count.
  • Large Groups: Parties of 8 or more may require a credit card on file to secure the booking and may be subject to a fixed service charge or a pre-set menu.
